Welcome to the official blogsite for my developing series, God of Bananas—or GOB for short!


Whether you're new here or have been following me for a while, I’m excited to have you! I’ve been racking my brain trying to find a good platform to post GOB content without making people search through my social media feed. So, why not create an official blogsite? (Fingers crossed it works out well!)

I’ve already made a handful of manga pages for the series on Manga Plus here, and I have a completed 13-page one-shot (currently being published by Saturday AM). To build up more of a fanbase for the series, I’ll be using this blogsite as my main platform.

I’ll be sharing artwork, WIPs, uploading chapters, and giving you behind-the-scenes glimpses as I write the series into a full light novel. I’d also love to engage with you all, so I’ll be exploring ways to do that as well!


What is God of Bananas?

If I had to sum it up in an elevator pitch, I’d say it’s Mulan meets Avatar: The Last Airbender—with a dash of Looney Tunes!

In short, it’s the story of a young warrior who must hide her identity as a girl while dealing with a wacky god who can’t control his powers. The world is inspired by various Latin American, Native American, and Mesoamerican cultures, with a unique magic system used for spells and battles.


Why Bananas? 🍌

Honestly, I’m not entirely sure where the idea came from! When I was brainstorming a story about gods and mortals, I thought it’d be fun if one of the gods was completely unexpected. And then the idea of a crazy god came to life—hence the name; God of Bananas!

Heya! Hope you guys are enjoying the week! As promised, here is the first chapter of GOB! Chapter 2 of GOB!

Hey everyone! Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! I hope you've had a nice rest of September. I've been pretty busy finishing up some trading card designs for Saturday AM, but now that I'm done with the project, I'm freed up to focus on GOB again! Here is my rough draft of Chapter 2! GOB Chapter 4-!

Happy Halloween all! I hope you guys are enjoying the cooler weather wherever you are (I sure am!). Wanted to drop the next chapter of GOB here for ya. I haven't gotten much feedback on the story thus far, but its all good. I don't expect most people out there to be avid readers or anything lol. It's been fun just getting to flesh out the story for myself. (But a huge thank you to those who are sticking around to read!!) In regards to the art, I haven't been able to do as much as I was hoping to, but I did get to work on this concept design for a skull altar.
