God of Bananas: The Official Blogsite!

Heya! Hope you guys are enjoying the week! As promised, here is the first chapter of GOB! But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. There are probably some grammer issues here and there - and parts that could be rewritten better. Hey guys! If you've been trying to catch up with all of these posts or you are seeing this page for the first time - thank you for tuning in!  I wanted to update you guys on where God of Bananas is at right now and what I am doing with it currently... There's been a mix of activity going on - of which I've not been very vocal about online. But I want to share with you guys the latest news regardless. 1st up! GOB has been selected for a spot in a book called Saturday Annual 2025. It will be published as a 13 page one-shot along with several other artists - and you can see some preview pages of it below. (Though the pages do not have any toning)  I've worked hard and have finished all the manga pages for it - during the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.  (https://a.co/d/8ZTvhZU) As you probably have noticed, the book is currently unavailable. A Few years ago, I did a DTIYS Event for GOB (Draw This in Your Style) which is essentially drawing another artist's picture in your own style.  It was a really fun event and I'll definitely have to do another one at some point. But I want to share with you guys all of the artwork that was made for it! I started creating the manga for GOB back in 2022 - which was two years ago. I didn't get very far with it but it was the official launch the series. I'll post a link here for you guys to check it out - if you are curious. Would love any kind of feedback! I got some comments on a few different SM platforms and even some fanart!  I'll post the artwork for you to see in my next post... but the creators are all uber talented and their artwork was amazing! I still geek out to this day about how cool they are! Here are some of my oldest concept designs for GOB! You might have seen some of these pictures before on Instagram. As for the others- I've never shared them online before!  The intention with these was to get an idea of how the characters should look - so I wasn't really concerned with the quality of the art. (And it shows lol - Some of the art below is pretty bad haha!)  I'm a little embarrassed - but I don't mind sharing these. This was an important first step in creating a series. And I think it would be kinda cool to show you guys what I was brainstorming at the time. Some of these characters were included in the original manga but if I ever get to re-draw the comic, I might decide to use them for something else. We'll see...!

Hey there, traveler! 🌟 Welcome to the official blogsite for my developing series, God of Bananas —or GOB for short! Whether you're new here or have been following me for a while, I’m excited to have you! I’ve been racking my brain trying to find a good platform to post GOB content without making people search through my social media feed. So, why not create an official blogsite? (Fingers crossed it works out well!) I’ve already made a handful of manga pages for the series on Manga Plus here , and I have a completed 13-page one-shot (currently being published by Saturday AM). To build up more of a fanbase for the series, I’ll be using this blogsite as my main platform. I’ll be sharing artwork, WIPs, uploading chapters, and giving you behind-the-scenes glimpses as I write the series into a full light novel.
